If you haven’t joined the Self-Care Sunday party yet, you totally should. Taking care of yourself is essential for a happy, healthy life. Sunday’s are meant for lazy days and time to relax, but also to take care of yourself. Before you decide to just binge-watch TV shows on Netflix (see my list of most binge-able shows here), here’s everything else you can do to make your Self-Care Sunday the best one yet.
Step One: Sleep In
Get caught up on your rest and treat yourself to a quiet morning without your alarm.
Step Two: Be (lightly) Active
I’m not saying you need to go full-on crazy at the gym. But you shouldn’t be living on the couch all day long. Take a walk, get outside, and do something that requires a light amount of physical activity. Just take the time to get some fresh air while you relax.
Step Three: Relax
Do something that helps you de-stress. I like to read, but for you maybe that’s watching TV, cooking, crafting, etc. Do what makes you happy! I also love to take a nice bath. Here’s what I suggest to make your bath count!
1) Bath Bombs / Bubble Bath / Bath Salts
Head to LUSH and get your favorite bath bomb or get your favorite bubble bath or amazing bath salts at Bath & Body Works. My personal favorites are the Intergalactic, Frozen, Blackberry, and Sakura bath bombs, the Comforter, Brightside, and Unicorn Horn bubble bars, and anything Stress Relief (Eucalyptus Spearmint) scented from B&BW.

2) Wine, wine, wine
A good glass of wine never did any harm either! I’m a red drinker, so my favorites are Grayson (cab. sauv.) and The Prisoner (red blend). But any wine will do! Nothing goes with a hot bath quite like a chilled glass of wine.
3) Face Mask
Find your favorite: sheet, clay, mud, or otherwise. Refresh your face and free your pores! Your complexion will thank you.
As I mentioned earlier, I love anything Stress Relief (Eucalyptus Spearmint) scented from Bath & Body Works. Find your favorite and light em’ up!
Step Four: Eat Well
All that relaxing will certainly work up an appetite. Treat yourself to a nice dinner. Not necessarily a fancy one either, but something that you can “treat yo’self” with. For me personally, that either means pizza (because who doesn’t love pizza) or a nice quiet dinner at home with my fiancé that we cooked together. Do what works for you!
And that’s all there is to it! Just four easy steps!
