Thanks Rachel at The Confused Millennial for giving me the idea for this post! I had another graduation-themed post planned for today, but decided I wasn’t feeling it. Instead, I wanted to share a bit more about myself! So sit down and get comfy and find out what I’m currently loving.
I finally did it. I jumped on the Girlboss train. My list of things to watch on Netflix is pretty empty until the end of this month. The new seasons of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and House of Cards are set to be released then. After hearing pretty good things about Girlboss, I decided to give it a shot. After the first episode I was completely hooked. While I definitely wanted to punch Sophia’s character in the face a few times because of her behavior, it was a really entertaining.
Two of my favorite authors just released a new book in each of their respective series, and I finally managed to find the time to read them! The first was J.R. Ward’s The Chosen, and the other (and more anticipated for me) was Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Wings and Ruin. I listed the latter in my ever-popular 5 Must Read Authors post, and this particular series by Maas is by far my favorite. This latest installment certainly does not disappoint – I literally could not put it down!
I also finally sat my fiancé down and made him watch Guardians of the Galaxy. Can you believe he hadn’t ever seen it? He ended up loving it, and thankfully I won’t have to drag him with me the see the sequel!
If there is one thing I love about this time of year, it would be the adorable summer dresses. Plus with graduations going on, stores generally have a ton of options available. Despite not being a graduate, I can still reap the benefits of other people’s graduations!
I’ve already mentioned in my April Updates and May Goals post that on of my favorite online retailers is ModCloth. This is for several reasons, but the biggest is that their customer service is excellent and that their clothes actually manage to fit me properly. Any other tall people out there who can’t find dresses/skirts that actually cover their butt? Thankfully ModCloth has so many options and sizes that it’s nearly impossible to not be able to find something that fits. I’ve also ordered such a variety of stuff from them – everything from housewares to shoes – and always love everything I get from them.
My sister and I actually just made a Tuesday Morning and World Market run today to pick up some Mother’s Day gifts and graduation gifts for my roommate. It was such a struggle to not leave either of the stores with everything. My sister was literally asking why I hadn’t taken her to this particular Tuesday Morning before because she loved everything so much. We thankfully only left with what we came for and just one or two small extras.
I’ve been meaning to pick up a new piece of larger wall art for our living room, but I could hear my wallet starting to cry just thinking about taking home a painting/print from World Market. I definitely see another DIY in my future! I did pick up some cute little souffle dishes and a few petite tart dishes to help me on my next baking spree. You may have noticed I’ve been on a baking kick lately if you follow me on Instagram. I think it’s finally starting to wear off. Next time, I’ll try my hand at some mini souffles and tarts!
And finally, thanks to Rachel at The Confused Millennial and her recent Instagram story, I am obsessed with getting an iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner. This baby would have been really useful! Especially after spending a good chunk of my day today sweeping and vacuuming my floors. But thanks to my aforementioned crying wallet, I’ll be saving that purchase for another day.
What are your current obsessions? Is there anything you’ve been keeping your eye on?
