My Recent Lush Haul
Before I get into it, I just wanted to toot my own horn for a minute and give you a weekly update! If you read my 1-Month Blogiversary and Weekly Round-Up! post, then you know I’ve been blogging for just over a month now (literally a month + 1 week), and I had around 2,100 pageviews in my first month. So far this month, I’ve had 1,800! That’s almost what I had my entire first month! How exciting!
Also, if you read my How I Started Flipping A House post a few weeks ago, then you know I was supposed to close on the house already, but then we didn’t. Long story short, we finally have the closing scheduled for this upcoming week and I can’t wait! That means I’ll be able to start on house #2 soon, and I promise to have updates on that project in the future!
And last thing before I get to the good stuff! I actually wanted to ask my readers out there what you want to hear about! I would really like to do a “reader’s choice” post once a month, and write about stuff you want to hear about! If this sounds interesting to you, or if you have any suggestions, make sure to comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org! I’m also planning to start sending my subscribers a preview of my posts very soon, so if you’re interested make sure to subscribe below!
Now, finally getting to my point! If you’ve read my recent Weekend in New Orleans post, then you know I spent one of my days on Magazine St. shopping. We popped in to the Lush there, and since they had my favorite mask, Don’t Look At Me, in stock (which seems to always be out!) I decided to do my Lush haul then!
Anyone who knows me knows I love Lush. I even mentioned them in my How To Have The Best Self-Care Sunday post! They are cruelty-free, their ingredients are ethically sourced, their charity pots are really cool, and they have amazing products. The minute you walk in to a store, you are greeted by workers wanting to help. While I know this can be a little annoying for those of us who hate being approached by workers, it’s great when you need something in particular and don’t know where to look! The worker themselves are always kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the products, and are more than happy to help you while you are shopping.
I went into the store on Magazine St with my sisters and my mom, and while my sisters and I are familiar with Lush, my mom hasn’t ever been inside one. She was amazed by all the products, and while we were browsing, a kind worker was happily showing my mom all their cool products. Plus, we got some great recommendations for the next haul!
But here’s what I bought:
I’ve been dying to try out this vanilla-scented bath bomb. I’ve heard such good things about it, and it’s supposed to be a vibrant fizzer!
This jasmine-scented bath bomb is supposed to turn your bath into a relaxing soak, leaving your skin soft and smooth. It’s also one of Lush’s best selling bath bombs!
Surprisingly lime and fennel scented, this bath bomb produces orange-y swirls of cocoa butter to moisturize your skin.
This is a lavender and lime scented bath bomb, with sea salt and seaweed. I’ve haven’t tried this one yet, but if my bath smells half as good as the actual bath bomb, I’ll be in love.
While I normally go for The Comforter, I’ve been eager to try this citrus-y bubble bar!
This is my absolute favorite face mask. While it needs to be refrigerated, it smells like straight fruit-loops and does wonders for your skin. It has ground rice as a scrub, tofu and murumuru butter to soften, and lemon to tone and brighten.
