Happy Wednesday everyone! Before we get to all the fun stuff, I thought I would do something a little different today – a reader survey! So please, do me a huge favor and complete my survey below. Don’t worry – everything is completely anonymous and for my eyes only. I’m doing one just to get a better grasp on what you – my readers – love and want more of!
Now that that’s done, on to the fun part – the coffee date! Even though it’s only Wednesday, the past few days have been packed full. Sunday I went on my usual grocery trip after planning out my meals for the week, and stopped by Old Navy to look for some cute swim suits for my upcoming beach trip. While I didn’t find any that I liked and were in my size, I did pick up this adorable sundress in Green Palm Leaf and Large Red Floral, a few blouses, and some shorts. And the best part? They were all on sale! Old Navy had the same style dresses last year, so I have a few already, notably the first one pictured below. Am I the only person that does that? Loves something and ends up being the same thing in all the colors…?
I also recently picked up a floppy hat from Costco of all places, found the perfect dress (pictured below) to wear to an upcoming beach wedding with shoes to match from Nordstrom Rack, and found some amazing (and super cheap) eyeliner pens from Lipstick Queen! Seriously guys, if you find this stuff – pick it up! I normally use Stila (which is ~$20) and have been looking for a cheaper option, so when I saw these by Lipstick Queen were only $5 I decided to give them a shot. I used it the day after I bought it and ended up loving it so much I went back to Nordstrom Rack the next day and scooped up all the rest. While it isn’t very waterproof, it is super smudge-proof (way better than my usual Stila) after it finishes drying!
** Also – side note – these aren’t affiliate links or anything! I honestly love it all so much and just wanted to share my shopping haul! **
Monday I was busy giving you resume and cover letter tips in the latest installment of my Adulting Series and juggling a crazy amount of admin duties. Because Mondays are also one of my fiancé‘s days off, we decided to cook a nice steak dinner and tried a new wine – which was delicious btw – which you probably saw in my story if you follow me on Instagram.
Today, I was up early to make it to a house closing! My parents recently bought a little camp in Grand Isle, Louisiana, and they officially closed this morning. Because they live a few hours away and I’m here in town, I was the one who actually signed off on everything to save them the trip. The older couple that they bought it from is the absolutely sweetest, so it was nice chatting with them this morning. The camp itself just needs a little updating, so my dad is crazy-excited to make the whole house “beachy” and is itching to get to work!
To give you a little background, my family has always (and I mean always) gone down to Grand Isle over the summer to have a family fishing trip. It’s been my dad’s dream to own a camp down there so we can go year-round, and he literally talks non-stop about it. And this year it happened! Instead of talking about how he wishes he had a camp, he’ll be talking about paint colors.
Fingers crossed the rest of my week isn’t as crazy, but I have a feeling it will be! There’s a prospective flip project that I’m looking into tomorrow with the help of my mom. Fingers crossed it pans out, because it will be an amazing (and very challenging) project! Plus I have a ton of blog-related things to get done before our annual fishing trip coming up and that beach trip I mentioned. That’s 2 weeks I’ll be traveling/not home, so I have to make sure everything is good to go before I leave!
So what are you all up to? A coffee date isn’t a date without conversation!
Did you bring home anything in a recent shopping haul? Have a beach trip planned or a vacation coming up? Any other cool stuff happening?
